HP has announced the launch of the Palm Pre 2 in its SIM-Free version in the UK on the 12th of November this year. The Palm Pre 2 is the first device to feature the new WebOS 2.0. Miles Norman, sales director for UK and Ireland in HP's European Palm business unit said, "HP WebOS 2.0 is the biggest leap forward for WebOS since it launched 17 months ago." He said, "It expands the features that make WebOS great for consumers, enterprises and developers, and introduces powerful new features that make it easier to get more things done with your WebOS device."
Mobile Networks In UK Discard Palm Pre 2:
All UK major mobile operators confirmed that they do not sell HP Palm Pre-2 on the contract or PAYG. Pocket-lint has contacted all the major UK mobile phone carriers asking them whether or not they have any plans to stock the new phone from HP and all of them said that they have no plans to stock the phone. Even O2, who have previously stocked Palm handsets is not interested. The company said Pocket-lint, "The Palm Pre Two will not be available on O2. We offer a range of the best handsets through our product portfolio and regularly review this to ensure it continues to meet the demands of our customers."
