Cheap International Mobile Calls Coming Soon: Telefonica Europe, Parent company of O2, acquired VoIP company Jajah six months ago. Now they've launched a new VoIP, offering cheap international calls using the JAHJ  AH IP communications platform across its O2 businesses in Europe called O2 Global Friends. The service is first launched in Germany, but plans are to expand the service to other O2 markets in Europe. Matthew Key, Chairman and CEO of Telefonica Europe said, “By launching our first JAJAH based products in Germany, we are bringing breakthrough for new services to Europe’s largest and most competitive
telecommunication market, further reinforcing our global leadership as an integrated communications innovator. In the coming months we will roll-out further JAJAH-powered products across Europe to meet the growing demand for these new services.”
Reduced Cost of Calling Abroad: Customers can assign up to five of their international contacts with a local number to reduce abroad calling cost. This is, however, important for consumers to wait for the benefits of calling abroad from their mobile phones. Mobile phone subscribers on the O2 network will be able to take advantage of one of the new services O2 Global Friends to make international calls by dialling a local number. Cheap phone calls are made available to consumers by service providers at a cheaper prices to the consumers. Consumers can make calls from the UK to abroad by landlines or mobile phones. |
