Beneficial Updates: Facebook is expanding its privacy controls to its mobile users. Mobile phone users who use their handsets to access networking sites can now benefit from added privacy options. Frequent Facebook users can now enjoy site's privacy settings when they log into the popular site from their mobile phones. The updated privacy settings bring the full desktop controls to all mobile browser versions of the site.  Facebook says that more than 150 million users currently access the site through their mobile devices which is expected to grow rapidly.
Technology Move: Facebook's mobile product manager Michael Eyal Sharon blogged, "As of today, you can use these controls no matter where you are, what kind of device you have access to, or when you want to make a decision about your information." He further added that there were only a couple of online services who offered any such privacy controls to their mobile users. All of Facebook's privacy controls are now available from any browser-enabled mobile device to the more than 500 million people, like you who are using Facebook in every country around the world.” A Kinetic spokesperson said, “The increase in popularity of smart-phones together with the release of the iPad and the prevalence of Wi-Fi on public transport and in social areas, such as coffee shops and pubs, is thought to be behind the rise in the number of people using technology on the move."
